Juliette Aiyana is a Licensed and Nationally Board Certified (NCCAOM) Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist who has worked in the natural healthcare profession since 1992. In 2001, she founded Aiyana Acupuncture & Chinese Herbs located in Union Square, New York City, and soon thereafter launched the website www.amazinghealing.com and its related blog.
Juliette's passion and modern pragmatic style shines through her medical practice, writing, and teaching about the cultivation and maintenance of a balanced body-mind lifestyle using ancient traditional wellness care methods. Ms. Aiyana is an author and freelance health writer.

Ms. Aiyana's extensive educational background includes a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine where she studied Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, tui-na and Chinese nutritional therapy, as well as post-graduate nutritional studies though Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Additionally, she interned at Grand Meridian in Chinatown, NYC, and at White Crane Clinic in Florida where she studied Korean Constitutional Medicine and food as medicine. She has also earned post-graduate certifications in: A Master's Class in Traditional Chinese Medical Gynecology and Herbal Formulas for Complex Patients with Bob Flaws, Acupuncture for the Cancer Patients through Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, HIV/AIDS Course with American Red Cross, Neurobiology of Addiction/Dual Diagnosis Certificate with PAR Integrated Addiction and Mental Health Delivery Systems, Cranio-Sacral Therapy with Upledger Institute, Infant and Child Massage, Anatomy of a Spirit with Caroline Myss & AHP, Reiki Master and more.
She is a women's health activist and menstrual health advocate with an honorable membership within The Red Web Foundation along with other authors and advocates such as Dr. Christiane Northrup, Joan Morais and Kami McBride.
For almost a decade before becoming a TCM practitioner, Ms. Aiyana was a massage therapist specializing in injury and chronic pain and "Bodywork for the Childbearing Year" for pregnant women. She was an instructor and Department Chair at the Swedish Institute of Massage in NYC for two years and currently teaches seminars about Chinese Medicine for practitioners and laypeople.
In her personal life Juliette Aiyana chills-out at home in Brooklyn with her husband, her son, her dog and through exercising regularly, yoga, Buddhist meditation, laughter, music, cooking, eating, reading, dancing, naps, long walks, cultivating mindful awareness and by enjoying life. By the age of 5, Juliette became curious about cultivating her spirituality and finally, at the age of 13, she embarked on her pursuit of meditation and spiritual studies which, many years later, led to five years worth extensive Tibetan Buddhist studies and practice. When Juliette turned 34, she became initiated into the Tibetan Buddhist tradition within the Menla (Medicine Buddha) Mandala by Geshe Jigme Gyatso and continues to cultivate and live out her studies daily. She is active the dharma organizations Tibet House and New York Insight Meditation. Her other Dharma teachers include: His Holiness the Dalai Llama, Eric Butterworth, Sharon Salzberg, Pema Chodron, Geshe Michael Roach, Robert Thurman, Sandra Weinberg, Jose Reissig. Juliette views everyone she encounters and treats in clinical practice as her teachers for whom she is grateful.
