Stroke Safety
Compared to the crushing chest pains of a heart attack, stroke symptoms can be relatively mild. Make sure they don't go unnoticed! Quick intervention is the best way to prevent a serious stroke with lasting damage.
Be aware of the following pre-stroke or stroke symptoms which appear suddenly. You may be able to save yourself or someone you know:
1. Numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body.
2. Confusion or trouble speaking or understanding speech.
3. Trouble seeing in one or both eyes.
4. Trouble walking, dizziness, or loss of balance or coordination.
5. Severe headache with no known cause.
6. Face weakness or numbness, droopy mouth or crooked smile.
